December,27 was a meaningful day for me and my students. There was arranged an online meeting between 2 schools located far apart - Min-Cyuan Primary School, Kaohsiung,Taiwan and school 16, Miass, Russia. My parner is an active and enthusiastic teacher Thefonz Hsieh. He has contributed a lot to the IEARN LOCAL HISTORY project. You can see his students' stories about famous sights in Kaohsiung here.
Actually he was the first to come up with the idea of organizing a VC.
I must admit that there were some technical problems from my school side. You all know how it usually happens when at the most important moment the Internet connection gets slow.
But now I can say we did it. It was so exciting to see our students performing and asking each other questions. For us, teachers, it has become an unforgettable and amazing experience as well.

Thank you, Thefonz.
After the session we emailed each other to exchange our feedback.
Thenonz emailed :"After the VC, our students told me when we can do it again. You are right, we have the first step ... Anyway, thanks a lot. My students are very excited,too...We all hope we can have VC next semester if you have time. "
When I asked my students if they would like to have one more session next term they excitingly exclaimed "YES!"
So looking forward to meeting you again Taiwan!
If you have even the smallest chance to arrange a session via the Internet do have a try to involve your students into visual interaction. This is a kind of educative experience neither students nor teachers will never forget.
