 Miass
Students from school 16 are sharing their stories in the form of power point presentations , photos and narrations about their favorite places.

Vlada Bulatova, a 4 grade student, enjoys travelling around Ural. She is kindly sharing her story about one the most famous places in South Ural in  Taganai National Park -
The Otkliknoj Crest
It is situated on the second top of a ridge of the Big Taganaj. The height of the crest is 1155 meters. It is located in 9 kilometers to the northeast from Zlatoust. It looks like some steep rocks.
The Otkliknoj Crest was named so, because it has characteristic crest outlines and the loud, repeated echo. Besides the official name Otkliknoj, we can find in literature other names like the Perekliknoj broad gull, the Big Crest, Otkliknaja and so on.
Legend
Regional specialist and journalist Pierre Paduchev in the sketches "Russian Switzerland" (1892) wrote such legend: "Once upon a time many years ago there was a fierce animal which lived in a cave of the Taganajsky crest. It sufficed travelers and horses and devoured them. One day, the Saint man saw it. He addressed his prayer about destruction of a monster to God. And the monster was killed with a boulder. But for memory it has left its voice," great and terrible "(echo).
Everybody can see the cave where the monster lived many years ago.”

This is Vlada's presentation about her summer raft  trip along the White River. Hope you will like it.
